Spirit OF Ninja

Sadie Vanherk

She was giving her competitors tip for some of the obstacles on the course. Love to see ninjas supporting ninjas!

Zack Morelli

I have never been prouder of Zack. Time and time again, parents have come up to me to say that no matter how he performs, he is always cheering on his peers, lifting others up, and celebrating their successes as if they were his own. His kindness, encouragement, and genuine sportsmanship does not go unnoticed. Zack competes with heart, and his positive spirit makes everyone around him better.

Ella Wilcox

She continues to progress every event, she has honed in her emotions and taking risks to improve her confidence

Taylor MacPhee

She was cheering not only her gym teammates but all athletes competing.

Kylie Cutler

Coach Scott was too ill to attend the competition on Saturday for the 7U Sarnia team members. Kylie was woken up at 6:00AM Saturday morning and asked to travel to Brantford to coach the group. Without hesitating, she headed out the door and coached the 7U group, including Lucas who was there for his first ever competition. Kylie is 12 years old and likely the youngest coach there all weekend. She then had to make the same trip back to Brantford from Sarnia the following morning to compete herself. Kylie has really stepped up this season to share her expertise with ninja’s of all ages coaching classes and multiple NOSO competitions at this point.

Michelle Vanderheide

Always smiling through the courses, and even though she had to run the Endurance course TWICE, she continued to push through and always laughed and smiled throughout!

Dennis Smith

Dennis is an incredibly inspiring athlete, coach, and father who uplifts athletes from every gym. His energy is electrifying and contagious, creating an environment where everyone feels supported and motivated. Dennis truly embodies a “one for all” mindset — leading with encouragement, passion, and unwavering support for the entire community.

Kaitlyn Campeau

Kaitlyn struggled to complete the first obstacle of the first course of the day. She remained calm, listened to her coach’s directions, tried numerous times until finally completing it and went on to have a great run. She showed perseverance and wasn’t willing to give up and let the obstacle beat her.

Zachary Price

I am nominating Zachary Price for Spirit of Ninja Award. Zachary enjoys coming to watch every age group for each competition he takes part. He particularly loves watching the older age groups and what they can accomplish out on the course. With his contagious smile and “Kermit the frog” by his side, he encourages everyone on the side lines. He has such a positive overall attitude; always finding the good in his and other’s performances.

Coach Pat

Pat genuinely roots for all kids equally. He wants all athletes to achieve their best. Always positive and supportive.

Noah St-Cyr

Made signs and held them up for every person from his home gym to the point where his arms hurt. Attended the gym when it wasn’t his day to cheer on his couches. He also cheered on competiting athletes and gave them high gives and fist bumps when finished. He cheered so loudly for others that at the end of the day when it was his turn, they all gathered to cheer him on. It was remarkable.
